Thank you for attending the 7th Australasian Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics Development Meeting was held from the 16 – 18 May 2018 at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, (VCCC) Melbourne, Australia.
The objectives of AVID 2018 was to bring investigators working on fundamental immunological concepts together with translational researchers/clinical investigators/biopharmaceutical industry experts who can exploit this knowledge to translate fundamental advances in to the clinic. AVID meetings have always provided unique opportunities for young investigators to interact with experienced researchers working on diverse diseases including cancer, infectious diseases, autoimmunity and other relevant diseases.
AVID 2018 provided an excellent forum to discuss emerging concepts in vaccine design, therapeutic antibodies and immunotherapeutic drug development, spanning all phases from basic mechanisms to translation and commercialisation.
